7 Tibau do Sul County, North of Pipa

Pipa is at the South end of the County of Tibau do Sul. (South Tibau; there is another Tibau do Norte, North Tibau elsewhere in this state of Rio Grande do Norte). The capital, Tibau do Sul, Terra entre Aguas, Land between Waters, is less than 6 miles North of Pipa. The road parallels beaches such as Cacimbinhas.

Cacimbinhas is a kite-surfing beach. Pipa meaning wine-barrel, Pipa meaning Kite too.

No attention to little wells, the other water surrounding the clif. Focus on the long beach, the main ocean water of this road.
The coconut trees in straight lines throughout the Brazilian coast: they had to be planted by someone. Almost at the same distance from each other. Organization. Organization for what?

Apparently, the coconut line indicated the old ways to go or travel by the beaches. A little bit of food, coconut milk or “water”, even a little shade under the sunny skies.

The touristic spot is over the cliff, on the side of the highway.

We are at Tibau do Sul town, the real Land Between Waters, Between Rivers. The Atlantic-ocean is on the East. A lake draining two rivers, now an ocean bay, is on the West. This present-day bay with salt water was an original lake with river water going into the ocean. The ocean opening was enlarged in recent times.
The caravel could enter the present bay,and be protected from the oceanic storms.

The famous Guaraira lake seems to be a bay nowadays.

A local bus, really a boat-bus to transport people to work. The boat is empty. Workers are working during the hours tourists are taking pictures…
