Hurricane Michael (October 2018)

It’s been a strange one, and it’s not over yet.  October dawns, and the 2018 Hurricane Season is still churning them out.  Tropical Storm Michael has formed at the tip-top of the Caribbean Sea, scraping by Mexico.  It’s headed north, spinning towards Florida, pulling strength from the Gulf.  The Panhandle should be on alert, the west coast of the Sunshine State, pay attention.

The deep season has brought forth this storm.  Move through the day by staying prepared; restocking water, counting canned goods, batteries, flashlights. Plan for the storm even if you’ll never see it. It could cross the state, bringing Gulf Coast havoc east.  We know how these storms love to take to land. Last season, Hurricane Irma came right up Florida, from bottom to top, with enough tidal collaboration to swamp Jacksonville.

Surely, that won’t happen, though.  Not again.

We will be safe this time.
